How to send commands to your Robot  Benri by mean of Email commands.

Robot Benri can be controlled by mean of Email messages.   Commands must be written in the subject of an Email message.  They must be addressed to the Email address assigned to your Robot Benri.

1- Register up to 5 personal Email addresses in the form "Parameters".

2- Push the button "EMAIL" in the principal screen.

3- Using one of the Email addresses registered in (1), send an Email to the Email address assigned to your Robot Benri with a  command in the subject of your Email.

A list of commands that can be sent through Emails messages is as follows:

Command           Description

ikk                   Will send an Email to the user with an image of camera kk. 

Example: 

i11                   Will send an Email to the user with an image of camera 11. 

i02                   Will send an Email to the user with an image of camera 2. 

i00                   Will send an Email to the user with images of all cameras. 

 

Command           Description

ekknnn           The Robot Benri will send one Email to the user every nnn minutes, having an image of camera kk. 

Example: 

e01120           The Robot Benri will send one Email to the user every 120 minutes, having an image of camera 1.

e12005           The Robot Benri will send one Email to the user every 5 minutes, having an image of camera 12.

e00015           The Robot Benri will send one Email to the user every 15 minutes, having images of all cameras. 

e00000           The Robot Benri will stop sending periodical Emails to the user. 

 

Command           Description

gkk1               The Robot Benri will begin recording a video using camera kk. 

Example: 

g021               The Robot Benri will begin recording a video using camera 2.

 

Command           Description

gkk0               The Robot Benri will stop recording the video which is being produced by camera kk. 

Example: 

g020              The Robot Benri will stop recording the video which is being produced by camera 2. 

 

Command           Description

vkkhhmmffnn    The Robot Benri will record a video using camera kk beginning at time hh:mm and finishing at time ff:nn. 

Example: 

v0310011045   The Robot Benri will start recording a video using camera 3 beginning at 10:01 AM and finishing at 10:45 AM.

v1316301700   The Robot Benri will start recording a video using camera 13 beginning at 16:30 and finishing at 17:00 hours.

Hours are given in format (00 - 23) hours.  Minutes are given in format (00 -59).

 

Command           Description

zkknn              Will modify the zoom of camera kk to the value nn.

Example: 

z0150              Will modify the zoom of camera 1 to the value 50.

z1380              Will modify the zoom of camera 13 to the value 80.

Zoom values are defined between 00 and 99, being 00 the case when the zoom is not active. 

 

Command           Description

skkc                If "c" is equal to "1", the Robot Benri will begin doing network streaming using camera kk. If "c" is equal to "0", the Robot Benri will stop doing network streaming using camera kk.

Example: 

s011               The Robot Benri will start doing network streaming using camera 1. 

s130               The Robot Benri will stop doing network     streaming using camera 13.

 

Command           Description

pkkc               If "c" is equal to "1", the Robot Benri will begin doing video streaming using camera kk.    If "c" is equal to "0", the Robot Benri will stop doing video streaming using camera kk

Example: 

p090               The Robot Benri will stop doing video streaming using camera 9. 

p111               The Robot Benri will start doing video streaming using camera 11.

 

Command           Description

h1                  The Robot Benri will activate the Guardian function.

h0                  The Robot Benri will deactivate the Guardian function. 

 

Command           Description

m1                 The Robot Benri will activate the Motion Detection function.

m0                 The Robot Benri will deactivate the Motion Detection function. 

 

Command           Description

k1                 The Robot Benri will activate the Face Detection function.

k0                 The Robot Benri will deactivate the Face Detection function.

 

Command           Description

t1                 The Robot Benri will activate the Face Recognition function.

t0                 The Robot Benri will deactivate the Face Recognition function.

 

Command           Description

f0                   The Robot Benri will send to users the Log file attached to an Email message. 

Command           Description 

w1kk              Will transmit through Internet all videos that  have been recorded using camera kk.   Transmission will be done using the publishing point that was defined for camera 1 in parameters publishing points.

Example: 

w102              Will transmit through Internet all videos that       have been recorded using camera 2.    

w100              Will transmit through Internet all videos that have been recorded using all cameras.  

w000              Will stop the transmission of all videos that are being currently transmitted.

 

Command           Description 

w2kk              Will transmit through Internet all videos that have been recorded using camera kk.   Transmission will be done using the port that was defined for camera 1 in parameters network streaming.

Example: 

w202              Will transmit through Internet all videos that have been recorded using camera 2.    

w200              Will transmit through Internet all videos that have been recorded using all cameras.  

w000              Will stop the transmission of all videos that are being currently transmitted.

 

Command           Description

bkk0               The Robot Benri will stream live video using camera kk.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component.

Example: 

b011               The Robot Benri will stream live video using camera 01.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component.

b031               The Robot Benri will stream live video using camera 03.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component.

 

Command           Description

bkk0               The Robot Benri will stop streaming live video using camera kk.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component. 

Example: 

b010              The Robot Benri will stop streaming live video using camera 01.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component. 

b030              The Robot Benri will stop streaming live video using camera 03.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component. 

 

Comand              Descriptión 

ckk                 Will move camera kk to the origin.

Example:

c01                Will move camera 1 to the origin.

 

Command           Description

ukk                 Will move camera kk, to the top.

Example:

u01                 Will move camera 1, to the top.

u10                Will move camera 10, to the top.

 

Command           Description

dkk                 Will move camera kk, to the bottom.

Example:

d01                 Will move camera 1, to the bottom.

d13                 Will move camera 13, to the bottom.

 

Command           Description

rkk                  Will move camera kk, to the right.

Example:

r01                  Will move camera 1, to the right.

r08                  Will move camera 8, to the right.

 

Command           Description

lkk                   Will move camera kk, to the left.

Example:

l01                  Will move camera 1, to the left.

l15                  Will move camera 15, to the left.

 

Note 1: 

It is possible to send more than one command in one Email message.  

For example:

r01r01r01d01d01i01

This command will make the following process:
  • Move camera 1, 3 times to the right.

  • Move camera 1, 2 times to the bottom.

  • Will send  one Email to the user, having attached one image of camera 1.

Spaces can be included inside commands. The following commands are equal and are correct:

r01r01r01d01d01i01

r01r01r01d01d01 i01

r01r01r01  d01d01  i01

 

Note 2:

Commands can be sent using either low letters or capital letters. For example:

r01r01r01d01d01i01

R01R01R01D01D01I01

These two commands are equal and are correct.

 

Note3: 

To send and receive Emails, first, you need to define an Email server.    If you do not have your own servers, you can use directly our Email and FTP servers by downloading the Benri_Access Component free to try for one month. Using the Email servers, you can control your Robot Benri from any place in the world, send commands by Email to your Robot Benri and receive Emails with attached images directly from your cameras. Using the FTP server, you can see through Internet, images that have been produced by your cameras.  You can download the Benri_Access Component in the following address:
