Examples about how to use software Robot Benri with Skype.

To learn how to use software Robot Benri with Skype, do any of the following examples:

Remember that you need two (2) Skype users "UserA" and "UserB".   The software Robot Benri will use the Skype user "userA" and you can control your cameras using "UserB" from any other computer or mobile in the world. 

 

Example 1:   Recording video files remotely.

·      Connect your cameras to the software Robot Benri.

 

·      Connect software Robot Benri to Skype.   The Skype user "UserA", which is assigned to software Robot Benri, is shown.

 

·      Push button Parameters in the principal menu and then select page Skype.    Then, type the Skype user destination "UserB",  which will be used by you from any other computer in the world.  Then, push button Save and Exit.

 

·      Using the computer or mobil where the Skype user "UserB" is registered, send the text message "g011" to the Skype user "UserA".   Immediately,  the software Robot Benri will record a video file using camera 1.    To finish recording the video file, send the text message "g010" to the Skype user "UserA".   A list of all commands can be seen here.

 

Example 2:   Receiving text messages in case of a detection.

·      Connect your cameras to the software Robot Benri.

 

·      Connect software Robot Benri to Skype.   The Skype user "UserA", which is assigned to software Robot Benri, is shown.

 

·      Push button Parameters in the principal menu and then select page Skype.    Then, type the Skype user destination "UserB",  which will be used by you from any other computer in the world.  In the same page, check option Send text messages.   Then, push button Save and Exit.

    

·      Activate function Motion Detection, using option Detectors in the principal menu and then option Motion Detection.   In parameters of function Motion Detection, check option Alert users using Skype.

 

·      In case that the software Robot Benri detects motion, automatically it will send text messages to you ("UserB") with information about the detection.  

 

Example 3:   Receiving "Video calls" in case of a detection.

·      Connect your cameras to the software Robot Benri.

 

·      Connect software Robot Benri to Skype.   The Skype user "UserA", which is assigned to software Robot Benri, is shown.

 

·      Push button Parameters in the principal menu and then select page Skype.    Then, type the Skype user destination "UserB",  which will be used by you from any other computer in the world.  In the same page, check option Place a call (Video and Audio).   Then, push button Save and Exit.

    

·      Activate function Motion Detection, using option Detectors in the principal menu and then option Motion Detection.   In parameters of function Motion Detection, check option Alert users using Skype.

 

·      In case that the software Robot Benri detects motion, automatically, it will do a "Video call" to you ("UserB"), using the camera that detected the motion.   This camera will be disconnected temporally from software Robot Benri and it will be connected to software Skype.   You will be able to see live video of this camera.   The communication will be finished as soon as you "UserB" decide to finish the video call.   Then, automatically this camera will be connected newly to software Robot Benri.

 

Example 4:   Remotely, see live video of your cameras.

·      Connect your cameras to the software Robot Benri.

 

·      Connect software Robot Benri to Skype.   The Skype user "UserA", which is assigned to software Robot Benri, is shown.

 

·      Push button Parameters in the principal menu and then select page Skype.    Then, type the Skype user destination "UserB",  which will be used by you from any other computer in the world.  Then, push button Save and Exit.

 

·      Using the computer or mobil where the Skype user "UserB" is registered, send the text message "y01" to the Skype user "UserA".   Immediately,  the software Robot Benri will do a "Video call" to you "UserB" using camera 1.   Camera 1 will be disconnected temporally from software Robot Benri and it will be connected to software Skype.   You will be able to see live video of this camera.   The communication will be finished as soon as you "UserB" decide to finish the video call.   Then, automatically this camera will be connected newly to software Robot Benri.

 

Example 5:   Remotely, move and control your cameras.

(Remotely, move the lens of your cameras, zoom, take pictures, record videos, etc.)

·      Connect your cameras to the software Robot Benri.

 

·      Connect software Robot Benri to Skype.   The Skype user "UserA", which is assigned to software Robot Benri, is shown.

 

·      Push button Parameters in the principal menu and then select page Skype.    Then, type the Skype user destination "UserB",  which will be used by you from any other computer in the world.  Then, push button Save and Exit.

 

·      Using any other computer or mobil in the world where the Skype user "UserB" is registered, send one message or command (IM Instant message) to the Skype user "UserA" described above.   For example send the text message "z0150" to the Skype user "UserA".   Immediately,  the software Robot Benri will change the zoom of camera 1 to the 50%.    A complete list of commands that can be sent to the software Robot Benri, can be seen at the following link:   http://www.deimaging.com/IDH-SKY-001.html
