How to send commands to your software Robot Benri using Skype.

Software Robot Benri can be controlled using Skype.   Previously, the software Skype (www.skype.com) must be installed in the same computer where the software Robot Benri is running.  

To use this option, you need two (2) Skype users "UserA" and "UserB".   Software Robot Benri will use the Skype user "userA" and you can control your cameras using "UserB" from any other computer or mobile in the world. 

To connect the software Robot Benri to Skype, do the following procedure:  

1- Select Parameters and Skype in the software Robot Benri.

2- Push button Connect to Skype.   Software Skype will appear and will ask you for your permission to use it.   Give permission to software Skype and wait for an answer indicating that the connection was successful.

You can send commands remotely to the software Robot Benri and this software will send information to you about detections, intruders, sending/receiving Emails, Network Streaming, etc.    

A list of text messages (commands) that you can send to the software Robot Benri using Skype is listed below:

 

 

 

Command           Description

ykk          Software Robot Benri will do a video call (by Skype) to the user, using camera kk.

Example: 

y01          Software Robot Benri will do a video call (by Skype) to the user, using camera 1.

y03          Software Robot Benri will do a video call (by Skype) to the user, using camera 3.

y13          Software Robot Benri will do a video call (by Skype) to the user, using camera 13.

 

Command           Description

Ikk           Software Robot Benri will send an Email to the user with an image of camera kk. 

Example: 

I01           Software Robot Benri will send an Email to the user with an image of camera 1. 

I12          Software Robot Benri will send an Email to the user with an image of camera 12. 

I00          Software Robot Benri will send an Email to the user with images of all cameras. 

 

Command           Description

ekknnn     Software Robot Benri will send one Email to the user every nnn minutes, having an image of camera kk. 

Example: 

e01120     Software Robot Benri will send one Email to the user every 120 minutes, having an image of camera 1.

e12005     Software Robot Benri will send one Email to the user every 5 minutes, having an image of camera 12.

e00015     Software Robot Benri will send one Email to the user every 15 minutes, having images of all cameras. 

e00000     Software Robot Benri will stop sending periodical Emails to the user. 

 

Command           Description

gkk1           Software Robot Benri will begin recording a video using camera kk. 

Example: 

g021          Software Robot Benri will begin recording a video using camera 2.

 

Command           Description

gkk0          Software Robot Benri will stop recording the video which is being produced by camera kk. 

Example: 

g020         Software Robot Benri will stop recording the video which is being produced by camera 2. 

 

Command           Description

vkkhhmmffnn        Software Robot Benri will record a video using camera kk beginning at time hh:mm and finishing at time ff:nn. 

Example: 

v0310011045        Software Robot Benri will start recording a video using camera 3 beginning at 10:01 AM and finishing at 10:45 AM.

v1316301700        Software Robot Benri will start recording a video using camera 13 beginning at 16:30 and finishing at 17:00 hours.

Hours are given in format (00 - 23) hours.  Minutes are given in format (00 -59).

 

Command           Description

zkknn         Software Robot Benri will modify the zoom of camera kk to the value nn.

Example: 

z0150        Software Robot Benri will modify the zoom of camera 1 to the value 50.

z1380        Software Robot Benri will modify the zoom of camera 13 to the value 80.

Zoom values are defined between 00 and 99, being 00 the case when the zoom is not active. 

 

Command           Description

skkc          If "c" is equal to "1", the software Robot Benri will begin doing network streaming using camera kk. If "c" is equal to "0", the software Robot Benri will stop doing network streaming using camera kk.

Example: 

s011         Software Robot Benri will start doing network streaming using camera 1. 

s130         Software Robot Benri wll stop doing network     streaming using camera 13.

 

Command           Description

pkkc          If "c" is equal to "1", the Robot Benri will begin doing video streaming using camera kk.    If "c" is equal to "0", the Robot Benri will stop doing video streaming using camera kk

Example: 

p090          Software Robot Benri will stop doing video streaming using camera 9. 

p111          Software Robot Benri will start doing video streaming using camera 11.

 

Command           Description

h1             Software Robot Benri will activate the Guardian function.

h0             Software Robot Benri will deactivate the Guardian function. 

 

Command           Description

m1            Software Robot Benri will activate the Motion Detection function.

m0            Software Robot Benri will deactivate the Motion Detection function. 

 

Command           Description

k1             Software Robot Benri will activate the Face Detection function.

k0             Software Robot Benri will deactivate the Face Detection function.

 

Command           Description

t1             Software Robot Benri will activate the Face Recognition function.

t0             Software Robot Benri will deactivate the Face Recognition function.

 

Command           Description

f0             Software Robot Benri will send to users the Log file attached to an Email message. 

Command           Description 

w1kk         Software Robot Benri will transmit through Internet all videos that  have been recorded using camera kk.   Transmission will be done using the publishing point that was defined for camera 1 in parameters publishing points.

Example: 

w102        Software Robot Benri will transmit through Internet all videos that  have been recorded using camera 2.    

w100        Software Robot Benri will transmit through Internet all videos that have been recorded using all cameras.  

w000        Software Robot Benri will stop the transmission of all videos that are being currently transmitted.

 

Command           Description 

w2kk         Software Robot Benri will transmit through Internet all videos that have been recorded using camera kk.   Transmission will be done using the port that was defined for camera 1 in parameters network streaming.

Example: 

w202        Software Robot Benri will transmit through Internet all videos that have been recorded using camera 2.    

w200        Software Robot Benri will transmit through Internet all videos that have been recorded using all cameras.  

w000        Software Robot Benri will stop the transmission of all videos that are being currently transmitted.

 

Command           Description

bkk1          Software Robot Benri will begin streaming live video using camera kk.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component.

Example: 

b011         Software Robot Benri will begin streaming live video using camera 01.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component.

b031         Software Robot Benri will begin streaming  live video using camera 03.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component.

 

Command           Description

bkk0          Software Robot Benri will stop streaming live video using camera kk.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component. 

Example: 

b010         Software Robot Benri will stop streaming live video using camera 01.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component. 

b030         Software Robot Benri will stop streaming live video using camera 03.   This option only can be executed using the Benri Access Component.

ckk            Software Robot Benri will move camera kk to the origin.

Example:

c01            Software Robot Benri will move camera 1 to the origin.

 

Command           Description

ukk            Software Robot Benri will move camera kk, to the top.

Example:

u01            Software Robot Benri will move camera 1, to the top.

u10            Software Robot Benri will move camera 10, to the top.

 

Command           Description

dkk             Software Robot Benri will move camera kk, to the bottom.

Example:

d01             Software Robot Benri will move camera 1, to the bottom.

d13             Software Robot Benri will move camera 13, to the bottom.

 

Command           Description

rkk              Software Robot Benri will move camera kk, to the right.

Example:

r01              Software Robot Benri will move camera 1, to the right.

r08              Software Robot Benri will move camera 8, to the right.

 

Command           Description

lkk               Software Robot Benri will move camera kk, to the left.

Example:

l01              Software Robot Benri will move camera 1, to the left.

l15              Software Robot Benri will move camera 15, to the left.

 

Note 1: 

It is possible to send more than one command in one Email message.  

For example:

r01r01r01d01d01i01

This command will make the following process:

  • Move camera 1, 3 times to the right.

  • Move camera 1, 2 times to the bottom.

  • Will send  one Email to the user, having attached one image of camera 1.

Spaces can be included inside commands. The following commands are equal and are correct:

r01r01r01d01d01i01

r01r01r01d01d01 i01

r01r01r01  d01d01  i01

 

Note 2:

Commands can be sent using either low letters or capital letters. For example:

r01r01r01d01d01i01

R01R01R01D01D01I01
