The
Guardian is a surveillance system which is able to detect
intruders by analyzing the images that are produced by the
cameras.
This function is able to memorize one image and then recognize
when there is a strange object or intruder on it. That is, this
function memorize shapes, colors and light intensities of all
elements in an image and is able to recognize when those
characteristics change.
When the
Guardian function is activated, the following
steps are generated:

Initial Waiting
Time: This time is defined by the user and represents
the time which the user prepares everything to leave the place
where all cameras are located. In order to
detect intruders the Robot Benri memorizes images where objects
are not moving, so that, it has to wait until users leave the
place before activating the
Guardian function.
·
Memorizing image:
The Guardian function begin memorizing the images which are
being captured by the cameras.
·Surveillance:
Images produced by the cameras are continuously analyzed. The
Guardian function is able to detect any change in the
images produced by the cameras.
In case of
any change in the images, it is considered as an intruder
detection. This function produces an alarm, carrying out the
following procedure:
·Send Emails to
the users with 3 images of the intruder. These
images are taken with some seconds of difference.
·Record a video
of the intruder. This video is stored in the hard disk of your
computer. It can be consulted by users using the
option Videos in the Principal
Menu.
·Store Special Images in the hard disk of your computer.
Note:
The
Guardian function can recognize successfully the smooth
changes given by the sun moving during the day (morning,
afternoon and night). Those changes are not
recognized as strange objects or intruders.
The
Guardian function recognizes as an intruder the strong changes
occurred during the day because of suddenly changes given by the
sun intensity. For example, when one camera is located in
front of a window. Changes given by the clouds in the sky,
first obstructing the sun and suddenly leaving the sun free
without any obstruction, will produce an
intruder detection.
